I started at 4, teaching my dad about the dangers of his smoking, to being the “lady” parts educator at my all girls Catholic high school, to the work I’m blessed to do across the lifespan everyday. VagEsteem came up as a passion project founded through my professional work. I found that women and femmes were reluctant to speak about sex openly! I noticed that we were probably talking about it with our gynecologist once a year… if that! But I knew it wasn’t a fun conversation with giggles, loud laughs, sisterhood, shared experiences, or new techniques (okay!?)
So what did I do? I created VagEsteem! VagEsteem is a workshop series I created in 2014 for women. It’s also a podcast that came along in 2016. VagEsteem is not only a noun, it’s also a safe, empowering space for women where we learn from each other by having courageous conversations about sex, love, relationships, and everything in between!
