What was your sex ed like?

Did you even receive it?

As a person who went to Catholic school from 3-12 grade- mine was NON-EXISTENT! And pile on being an immigrant household- BRUH! We weren’t talking about it! A lot of what I learned from not talking about it and of course being wrapped up in Catholicism was that we shouldn’t even think, question or learn about our bodies, Sex, and sexuality! I did learn about the impact that shame and misinformation can have on views on something so healthy and normal. I had to do a lot of unlearning and building.

So what do you do when you weren’t given the basics?
What do you when you never received formalized sex Ed free from judgement and shame?
We grow up to be women and femmes who are misinformed, lost, and navigating for the answers for the rest of our adult lives!

So what we gonna about it? 😏
